Body work has enjoyed an upsurge in interest again in our burgeoning Aquarian Age of Consciousness! People are beginning to re-member the miracle of therapeutic, loving touch.
The Greeks were huge proponents of massage for health and vitality. Bob Hope enjoyed a daily massage from his youth! While in his thirties he commented that this daily ritual would contribute to his living an entire century (and that was “no joke”!)
Massage is kin to meditation for the body. The brain wave activity is much the same while receiving the loving energies of the practitioner.
Everyone knows the relaxing benefits of massage, relieving the tensions we deposit in our tissues through fast paced lives.
It is also highly beneficial for blood cleansing! It can assist the body in transport of fresh oxygen to the cells keeping us young and vibrant. Our bloodstreams are our “rivers of living water” that supply us with the joy of life.
We have four organs of elimination. They are the bowel, the lungs, the kidneys and the skin. Your skin is the largest of these eliminative organs. It is very wise to keep this system healthy and clean. Massage is one way to do so. The small blood vessels (capillaries) are stimulated to bring fresh oxygenated blood to sluggish areas of the body reviving youthful roseyness.
On many areas of the skin there are “reflex points” that when stimulated bring beneficial results to inner organs.
No doubt you have seen charts for foot and hand reflexology. There are even more areas on the face, ears, spine and on the iris itself that correspond to different organs! So, essentially a massage is also an “organ massage”!
Massage is both a physical therapy and a spiritual remedy. Loving touch has been scientifically proven to nourish health. Studies have been done on orphaned infants who receive loving touch and find that their overall health improved dramatically. The same is true for any living organism! Many pediatricians encourage daily massage for infants and children to not only create healthy muscle tone, but to stimulate body systems to develop into superior health!
It is said that this “superior health” can be had quite simply by fresh food and water, loving thoughts, plenty of sleep and daily massage.
Obviously in our busy culture a daily massage would be quite an extravagance, but it has been found that a weekly massage will glean exponential benefits for the entire family!
Massage is also very helpful for debilitating conditions. Many people with diabetes, stroke related problems and stress all find that massage is the key to bringing them back to vibrancy once again.
At Casa de la Luna Madre you have two options for body work, one of which is “Channeled Body Work” done by Dan with his Spirit Guide, Chumasha. It is a finger pressure technique that is useful for those with acute health challenges. This strong and sometimes painful treatment will bring open pathways to previously blocked energies in your body. Dan’s Spirit Guide is a Shamanistic healer.
The other type of bodywork is done by Jacqueline and is more of a traditional relaxing, healing massage. Only cold-pressed, nourishing oils are used and essential oils are suggested for specific requests. She is also available for consultations on herbal formulas that are always home made at Casa de la Luna Madre’s Apothecary, as well as nutritional counseling and Flower Essences formulated for your goals and dreams. Ear Coning or Ear Candling is available and is beneficial for the change of seasons.
