Becoming a Weed Witch is a service to the planet and to Wimmin in their time-honored role as healers. Herbalism is an art that belongs to the people. For most of civilization Wimmin ministered healing with herbs alongside their nurturing talents in everything they touched. We have only simply lost touch with our birthright and gladly we find that we as wimmin have decided it is time to reemerge and it is on the upsurge once again. Wimmin as healers are everywhere. We are coming to the fore in the therapeutic touch field in the droves and it is making space for us to once again move into all the hidden areas of our greatness. Weed Witchery is one vocation among many healing/healthing venues.

A Weed Witch is typically a wombin (woman), although men are considered for application. She is aware of her role on the planet as a powerful person and a repository of ancient herbal truths. She will spend hours in preparation of remedies, salves, and potions for service to her own family and others who may be in need of natural and magickal cures. She may specialize in a particular area, but will be versed in many. She will understand the energies of plant allies and how to combine them to consummate the desired purpose.
The Weed Witch Herbal Apprenticeship Program at Casa de la Luna Madre is a true apprenticeship program, in that hands on training with The Moon Mother herself is done throughout the course of Thirteen Moons following the Neo-Pagan “Wheel of the Year”. Most of the training may be one- on-one, as is traditional among apprentices or it may be in small groups.

Classes will involve much study of herbs for particular purposes or indications. You will work on an “Herbal Grimoire”, a personal reference book of “herbs as allies”. Through your own work with your body and how she dances with herbs you will begin to understand how herbs partner with a soul’s journey of transformation. You will learn to gather herbs in rituals that will “non-violently” and gently glean and prune from the skin of Mum-Gaia (Mother Earth).

We will also learn how to be a “City” Weed Witch. How to find what we need in local stores and lead your clients to find what they need. You will also learn how to start a business. If you desire to use these skills full time The Moon Mother will show you how to incorporate your knowledge in a way to add to your income by consulting and/or preparing your own product for sale or as gifts.

Apprentices will work with the Moon Mother personally on each Saturday (Saturn’s Day) closest to the Full Moon for Thirteen Moons.
During the cycle between these meetings there will be homework to master. Apprentices will also be creating their own home apothecaries, using skills learned firsthand each Full Moon workday.

Because of the nature of Apprenticeship it is suggested that you make the “Moonthly” Full Moon workdays a priority. The hands-on experience is indispensable. Workdays cannot be “made- up” on subsequent moons. If you miss one a syllabus will be offered but it should be understood that the magick that occurs for the apprentice cannot be guaranteed if you are not present for it.
The payment for the Thirteen Moon course is $2000.
It is to be received before the apprenticeship begins and is
non-refundable.
